I'll post these for the amusement of our friends at the Science Museum of Minnesota. But for us, this much snow at the end of February--and we were having 80-degree days recently--is a big deal. We wouldn't fare very well in Minnesota, I guess.
But on to other things. A lot has happened in the two weeks since our last post. These are some photos of the lobby area, where the store used to be. Except for what's overhead, the demolition in that area is more or less complete.
Demolition in the main gallery is complete. Now, the framework for the new walls (or wall surfaces rather) is going up. See the brickwork? That's actually the exterior wall of the building that opened in 1961. When the museum expanded in the late '90s, parts of the building exterior became interior walls.
From time to time, we'll post info here about what's going-on at the museum.
