Wonderland

The historical artifact collection at the Museum of the Great Plains contains tens-of-thousands of objects.  Some are bigger than others.  You know, a steam locomotive, buildings, those kinds of things.

 

Researchers of all statures welcome by appointment.

Please note:  As of June 26, 2026, the museum is no longer accepting appointments for research. We're preparing for a major building renovation that effects all our storage and exhibit areas.  At this time, we expect collections to become available again in April 2028.  

Please note:  Most areas of the museum will close to the public in mid-August 2026 for major building repairs.  We anticipate resuming full operation in April 2028.
