LIVING HISTORY

Immerse yourself

Our living history interpreter and reenactors take you all the way back to the 1830s - and that's a fur piece.  Visit the Coffee's Station Trading Post, a re-creation of a structure that once stood about 50 miles southeast of the museum.  It's a hoot.

The Trading Post operates Tuesday through Saturday througout the year, weather permitting.

(July 2025 update)  So our little remodel that began in 2022, projected at the time to take 10 months, ended up taking - wait for it - three years!  But TOTALLY worth it.  Back in business again.  A few peripheral things related to the project left to do, but defintiely over the hump.  Many thanks to YouTubers "The Pemberton Boys" for this video!

Support for the Museum of the Great Plains provided in part by the City of Lawton and the City of Lawton Hotel-Motel Tax Fund.
