Fall Encampment

Coffee's Station Trading Post

What happens at Fall Encampment?  A bevy of reenactors portray characters from the 1830s.  They do weird things like buy and sell animal hides, blankets, beads, and hardware.  You might see someone operating the blacksmith forge, cooking a meal, shooting arrows, and more.  It's like taking a time machine back to the wilderness frontier of 1830.  Except you can easily walk back to the present in half a minute, in case you need to go to the bathroom or something.

Okay, a few things to remember:

  • You must have at least 10 students, but a group of no more than 150 students.  We require at least 1 adult chaperone for every 10 students.

  • The cost is $5 for everyone, including teachers, chaperones, and others.

  • General admission to the museum is included in the price.

  • The program is appropriate for grade school, middle school, even high school, students.  Heck, it's appropriate for adults!

  • The museum may be able to cover the admission cost for up to 30 grade school students per organization, thanks to donations from the community.
