2020 GOURD WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

March 7, 8

In this two-day class, students learn how transform an ordinary gourd into a unique expression of their own creativity.  From coloration, to stitching and weaving pine needles, the workshops are suitable for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students.  Registration includes gourds, supplies, and lunch.

Classes are Saturday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Sunday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Registration required.  You may register in person, or by telephone at 580-581-3460.  The Museum of the Great Plains reserves the right to reschedule or cancel workshop dates.  Registered participants will be notified in advance.

Please note that your reservation is not complete until the museum receives full payment.  Until that time, you will be placed on a waiting list.  We will contact you when your registration is complete.

Payments are non-refundable.  If you cannot attend a class, you may be able to transfer to a subsequent workshop, but only if you call at least 72 hours in advance.  The fee is forfeited after two such transfers.

The main building of the museum will close to the public after August 15, 2026, for extensive maintenance and repairs.  The projected completion date is early 2028.  Until then, the outdoor areas of the museum will remain open to the public, free of charge.

Support for the Museum of the Great Plains provided in part by the City of Lawton and the City of Lawton Hotel-Motel Tax Fund.
